Mizuno Men's Mizuno 9-Spike Erupt 2 Turf Shoe
CUSTOMER REVIEW
My knee situation, I don't have much cartilage in my right knee. After playing softball with spikes, my knee would be swollen for a few days. I believed the jolting and jarring of running with spikes was some of the issue.
With these after one game, only slight discomfort and very mild swelling. The way the rubber is on the bottom, it almost acts as an extra layer of cushion. I would most certainly jog in these on a dirt or grass surface
Performance- I was playing on a slightly moistened field and they held up really nice. I personally though they were easier to move in and felt like they gave me a little more range. (play middle infield). I also jogged through some grass to gauge the grip, on moistened grass the grip was very nice.
Any negatives- the material on the top of the shoe felt hard and at first, but they broke in nicely. Maybe if you were playing in a really sloppy softball they may not be the best option.
Overall, purchased to try something and relieve knee pain. They were great for that. I also felt like they had better grip and improved my range in the infield along with providing some balance.
