I work in retail management and originally chose these because I have had good luck with Dockers shoes in the past. I also wanted a shoe with which I could wear good old foot friendly white cotton socks ( Not possible with a regular shoe and slacks) These were comfortable right out of the box and after 10 or so hours a day wearing them on cement/tile my feet were tired but not sore. You can buy a much more expensive pair but these have worked great for me. As for longevity; time will tell. On average I get about 4 to 6 months out of a pair of work shoes.
