New Balance Men's MX857 Cross-Training Shoe
CUSTOMER REVIEW
These 857s were a replacement shoe sent to me by New Balance.
I had problems with several pair from the 609 and 608 line. My problems with the shoes were quality, durability, and fit issues not related to Amazon, so I went directly to NB.
After explaining how I wore my shoes and what I had trouble with, the NB customer service rep recommended the 857 for more motion control which the shoe did offer; however, they were a tight fit compared to every shoe I own in a standard width including all my New Balance. They were oddly tight for a cross training shoe and felt more like a boot. I hoped they would loosen with time, but they did not.
Sadly, my complaints about quality are the same in this shoe as with their 608s and 609s. The soles started to detach from the uppers and the blue inserts on the soles also came unglued. I wore these for a good amount of walking at work plus 3-4 miles with the dog daily for one month. At this point, they were painful and clumsy to wear. The soles were worn and peeling apart, so I tossed them.
Very disappointing
